D1GP USA Announces 2010 USA Dates & TV Schedule!
D1GP USA RETURNS FOR 2010
Los Angeles, CA – June 9, 2010 – SPEED™ and D1 Worldwide Entertainment, (www.d1gp.com, www.d1we.com), the official organizers of automotive entertainment’s premier drifting events in the United States announced today the 2010 USA D1 Grand Prix event line-up and that each event, plus the D1 Grand Prix Japan events will be covered by one-hour television broadcasts to be carried on SPEED™ throughout the entire drifting season.
The first SPEED broadcast is scheduled for September 4 at 6:30 p.m. ET from Tokyo, with the second event premiering September 12th at 6 p.m. ET from Oita, Japan.
“Bringing USA D1 Grand Prix drifting events to SPEED is a cool new addition to the network,” said SPEED President Hunter Nickell. “Combining the young, cutting-edge atmosphere of drifting with the history and familiarity of host venues like Atlanta, Texas, Homestead-Miami, and Irwindale will be a unique experience for our viewers.”

Round two of the 2010 Xtreme Drift Circuit was held in Las Vegas on May 22, 2010. Roughly 40 teams/cars participated in this event, with NST entering the three cars of Will Parsons, Josh Steele, and Chelsea DeNofa. The drivers came out under the sunny skies of Southern California’s Irwindale Speedway for the first round of the XDC 2010 season. All three NST drivers overcame issues with their cars during Friday’s Top32 Qualifying session and placed well.

All three NST cars had their own minor issues today, but all three are in one piece after a day of practice and qualifying sessions, and we look forward to the competition tomorrow. After an eventful day, NST drivers Chelsea DeNofa, Will Parsons, and Aaron Losey have all qualified for the competition on Saturday, with Chelsea qualifying highest of the three. Where did he place? You’ll have to check back tomorrow to find out!
