NST @ XDC Round 5, Texas Motor Speedway; Photo Coverage!
When we first got word of the XDC national tour almost a year ago, we were all excited to see a Texas date. We’re very accustomed to traveling the country for national events and are used to thousands of miles of travel per year, but we won’t lie, we felt we were overdue for a national event date in our backyard. OK, so it wasn’t in the greatest city in the Lonestar State (HOUSTON) but it would do! We were stoked!!!
As the NST staff rolled into Dallas Friday morning, we were greeted with massive rain clouds. This would not be good. The weather finally started to clear up a bit Saturday afternoon, and the competition rounds provided some great driving and a few surprizes.

NST Meet & Greet with Katie – This weekend @ XDC Dallas!
We posted pictures of one of the newest faces of NST, Katie Shepler, a few months ago and have been receiving a number of questions on facebook, via email, etc. Who is she? Where did you find her? Will she be at any upcoming events?! Some of you may remember Katie from drift events of yesteryear… those of you who do not, or those who caught onto drifting more recently, can stop by the NST Friends & Fans Tent at the XDC Dallas event this weekend to introduce yourselves and say hello!

Those of you who have been following our season of drift competitions in the 2010 Xtreme Drift Circuit (XDC) know that we’re anxiously awaiting the fifth stop on the national tour, Sept. 25, at Texas Motor Speedway.
Four NST drifters including, XDC points leader Chelsea DeNofa, Will Parsons, Aaron Losey, and Josh Steele will be in attendance, and are looking to go big at this event.

NST Service Garage Feature; Warren’s AE86 Corolla
Warren brought his black AE86 Corolla hatch to the NST Service Garage for some work this past week. While the car looks great and has a lengthy list of performance modifications, it needed a good amount of work to be ready and reliable for daily and/or track use.
In Warren’s own words: “I’m 27 now and I just turned 18 when I met my very good friends Jack, Rocky, and Jimmy who introduced me to the AE86 and all that stuff through VHS Hot Versions, etc. I bought two corollas a few months later and never looked back. As hard and expensive as it is to own these and do them the right way, I never gave up on it or wanted to sell it… “
